Another busy weekend. Did get a few things accomplished! My house is still a disaster...BUT we got the patio ready for play. Our patio was FULL of junk, toys, spiders, leafs and dirt...not anymore...We got all the kids outside toys cleaned and ready for play, got all the spider webs and leafs and dirt removed...we had to use the power spray on our water hose to clean the table, got all the chair cushions cleaned. Now the patio is ready for play. The girls really enjoyed playing outside this weekend - I actually took a book out propped my feet up...but was about to fall asleep so I had to get "not so comfortable" and stop reading...haha John got sand for their sand box and you would have thought it was Christmas...they were so excited...they had a really good time playing in the sand. Weather please stay perfect for awhile!!!!
Journey had soccer practice Saturday morning. She did so good - much improvement...not necessarily skill wise...but staying with the group and paying attention. It is so hard at this age, I see all of the parents out there struggling with the same - so I know I am not alone. This soccer season is more about listening and following than skills - and she is improving!!! It is hard to hold Trinity back at soccer...because it is parent participation and everything is chaotic..Trinity usually just ends up going out on the field with one of us and kicks her soccer ball around like the rest - won't be long!
We were planning to get up early Sunday morning and go to my sister's work and watch the impolsion (she works across the street) - BUT when she told me how early we were going to have to get up...we changed our minds. As an afterthought, Saturday night, we took the girls out there to take their picture with the stadium in the background. Who knows, they may think it is cool in 20 years...but it was too dark and didn't really come out...Oh well, thought that counts! We watched it on TV Sunday morning. Journey asked me this morning if she could watch that building fall down again tonight! LOL
