Journey has started gymnastics at a new location (Firewheel instead of Mesquite). We love it. The gym is so much bigger and the coaches seem better! She is becoming a pro at front rolls - she was doing them on the trampoline (it won't be long before she is trying to do them while jumping). She is the only one in her class that will hold on to the rope to swing over the pit!
Trinity is taking up to 5 steps at a time. It is happening too fast. Where did my baby go? Trinity's 4th tooth is coming in on top (she now has 6 total) - and "she" thinks she is ready for steak! She will try to eat anything and everything and gets mad when you stop her.
"The Girls" (me, Journey, Trinity, Gramma and Aunt NeNe) went to buy shoes for the girls (thanks Aunt NeNe) and then to dinner. We finally got to get Journey a Wide instead of Xtra Xtra Wide - her foot is finally sliming down. Trinity does not like having her shoes on at all. She doesn't want to even stand in them - hopefully she will be used to them in a day or two. Journey and Trinity were both full of it at dinner as you can see from some of the pics.
Once again John, Journey and Trinity all battled colds/runny noses this weekend.

We finally had a "sick-free weekend". Journey was able to go to gymnastics for the first time in 3 weeks. We went and visited Cole and Grayson and wished Grayson a "Happy 3rd Birthday"!
Trinity is getting her front, right, top tooth in. Hopefully the other front tooth will appear soon! She really has a funny smile right now - one of the pictures kinda shows it (the one that she is smiling so big her eyes are almost closed). She is balancing so good. She will stand and take one step - she is trying so hard - won't be long!!!
Journey is enjoying taking pictures of everyone with her new camera from Aunt NeNe. I am not sure that Trinity is enjoying it as much!

Journey moved up to the next class at her school this week. She has done very good with the transition - she misses her old teachers - but she likes her new ones! She gets to do more crafts, drink out of cups with no lids, and sit on the potty! We are anxious to work more at home on going to the potty!!!! What a relief it will be when we are down to only one in diapers!
We took Trinity to the eye doctor last week. In some of her pictures it looked like one of her eyes was turning in - I talked to her doctor about it and her doctor couldn't tell if there was a problem or not and sent us to an eye doctor. I am happy to report that her eyes are perfect - no turning in and no crossing. The eye dr explained it is very common, but basically the bridge of her nose is still very shallow so there is extra skin between her eyes which covers up some of the white of her eyes and gives that impression - mostly in pictures that her eye may be crossing - as her nose grows the skin will pull up! Just another one of those mommy and daddy need reassurance appointments!

We decided to take it easy at home on New Year's Eve. After so much sickness we knew we just needed to stay at home and get some rest. Good thing we did. We were all in bed asleep before the new year! Trinity woke me up around 12:30 - when I picked her up I noticed how warm she was - she was running 100 fever. I started her on Tylenol. During the day on New Year's her fever was getting up to 102.5 between doses of Tylenol. I took her to the dr the next day and she has an ear infection in both ears and a throat infection (it may be strep - they did not test her for it since they were going to treat her ears with antibiotics anyway - and she would be contagious anyway). She had a very rough weekend. They told me all of this medicine to give her to help her fever and throat pain - all of which kept her awake - during the day - no naps and up during the night - by Sunday morning - I decided only antibiotics and no other medicine - medicine that usually makes people tired - keeps my kids awake and Trinity with no sleep, not feeling good is miserable. She was able to take a few naps on Sunday and got a better night's sleep on Sunday night (no more fever on Sunday by the way). I sent her to school on Monday and she is continuing to do very well. She is also teething - which makes everything worse! So far, Journey has not come down with it - we are praying over her and all of us. We are all so tired of being sick!
We had a very FUN and busy Christmas. We ended the day with Journey throwing up all in my car:( We started opening presents at our house at 7 am, then off to Gramma and Papaw's house for more presents and Aunt NeNe's omelets. Then off to Randy and Patty's house for more presents and lunch. Then off to Granny's house for more snacks! By the end of the day we were pooped and I think it was just too much for Journey. She was fine after getting sick - I think it was just too long of a day for her! Journey was very excited about all of her new toys and Trinity was most excited about eating a sucker and playing with the paper!!
I got a follow up call from the hospital that informed me that I tested positive for Crypto (but it had resolved itself). That explained a lot about my battle with a "stomach bug" for 2 weeks that landed me in the hospital. So since Journey was battling a "stomach bug" - we took her to the doctor. Sure enough - she tested positive also. We are not sure how or when we came into contact with it. But as of today - we are free of it...YEA!!!! John got very sick before Christmas and we thought he may have gotten it - he was tested and came back negative - we think he had a real case of stomach flu! Trinity has steered clear of it so far! Actually she was sick before Thanksgiving and that may of been what started it!
