This was the picture they took at Trinity's school.

Today was the girls Christmas party at each of their schools. Once again, I couldn't have done it without Aunt NeNe and Gramma. Aunt NeNe (and Gramma) did everything for me - made the cupcakes, finger jello, cookies - wrapped the presents - they even went with us this morning to help us deliver all the goodies. WOW!!!! Journey's daycare called and said she wasn't feeling well - so Gramma and Aunt NeNe went and picked her up! Thanks so much! She is having to miss her party - but I know she enjoys spending the day with Gramma and Aunt NeNe.

We went to Bass Pro Shop to have the girls picture taken with Santa. Trinity agreed to it - Journey did not!!!! Journey did enjoy looking in the big fish tank.

Journey is still battleing with the stomach bug! John came home sick yesterday running fever and flu symptoms. We are just praying, praying that everyone will get better in our household!

We stayed home most of the weekend. Journey went to gymnastics, but was pretty much done for the day after that. Go figure, she is battling the stomach virus now! UGH! As of today, she is doing much better. We both have been downing Gaterade as much as possible. Trinity is doing good - no sickness. A little cranky at times - but I think it is her teeth! She is just exploring everything and everywhere! Sunday night we were able to go look at a few houses with really neat Christmas lights. Hope to go look at more during the week! Journey posed for her Aunt NeNe at gymnastics with Santa - that may be the only Santa picture we get! One of Journey's favorite things at gymnastics is swinging on the rope into the blocks - Aunt NeNe got a good video below.

We had a very eventful week. Thank goodness for Grandma and Aunt NeNe. They saved us again! I woke up Wednesday night with some REALLY bad pains in my chest, back and stomach. We called paramedics and I ended up going to the hospital. By the time I got to the hospital, I was much better and was second guessing going in. With John's "encouragement" we went in so I could get looked at. They did EKG's, blood work, etc., etc. They were very interested in my pancreas and heart readings, so they admitted me. After many more tests (including an echocardiogram) we think my heart is fine, it just has a different read on an EKG than most and after being pumped with potassium all day long - my pancreas numbers got back to just about where they are supposed to be. All in all, if you have a stomach virus that lasts for 2 weeks - you need to get to the dr - it doesn't matter that you don't have time - I had a long time in the hospital to think about how much time I was wasting - if I had only made an appointment when I knew the virus was lasting too long. Thank you Granny for hanging out all day watching the food network with me at the hospital. Thank you Gramma for answering that awful call from John - that said get down here something is wrong with Amber - then driving up to see an ambulance and two firetrucks. Thank you Gramma and Aunt NeNe for taking care of the kids on less than a moments notice. Thank goodness I can always count on y'all!

We were at Walmart on Saturday and Journey saw Santa... she said, "I no sit on his lap!" Don't think we will be getting a picture of her with Santa this year!

Journey got a real treat on Monday and got to play hookie from school and spend the day with Gramma, Aunt NeNe and Granny. They went to North Park to see the trains, puppet shows, santa, decorations, etc. I was told Journey was a little young to enjoy the puppet shows, but she did really enjoy the trains! I know she had a good time just spending the day with the girls!
So many things to try in squeeze in before Christmas. We tried to go see some lights on Friday night - the main place we wanted to see - did not have their lights on yet:( We did however, run across a church that had a drive thru - live nativity scene. We enjoyed it very much! Saturday we had gymnastics for Journey, shopping for winter coats (thanks Gramma for our early Christmas present) then off to Aunt Brenda's Christmas play at her church. Trinity wasn't too interested but Journey did unexpectedly well during the play. I have been fighting a stomach bug and spent most of the weekend still battleing with it. Wanted to get the tree decorated on Sunday - but just didn't get to it.
